OUR MISSION STATEMENT
We aim for all our learners to achieve their educational goals and to become lifelong learners. We also aim for the experience of the school to be an enjoyable time of personal development. In this way, we equip our learners for a changing world and we will contribute towards the future of South Africa.
ACHIEVING THE SCHOOL MISSION
KINGSWOOD ACADEMY WILL FULFILL ITS MISSION BY:
- Understanding the educational and training needs of all the people we serve.
- Responding to our learners’ needs flexibly and imaginatively to help them deal with social challenges that may affect their progress in academic work.
- Building social partnerships to further the school’s mission.
- Using information technology as a catalyst to boost student motivation to stay in school longer and to become innovative leaders.
- Working with and for the business community in our area to support our social community engagements.
- Welcoming and inducting all learners into not only academics but also into different sporting codes and games.
- Setting high targets for learners and monitoring them for all aspects of the school’s performance: for example: high pass-rates, attendance and assessments.
- Encouraging and supporting staff to continuously develop their own skills in order to remain innovative in their methods of teaching.
